Colt Smith

Colt is a fifth-generation Ozarks native, born and raised on his family’s farm along the Finley River in Christian County, south of Rogersville, where he and his wife are raising their two children, the sixth generation. His roots in southwest Missouri run deep, and his life has always centered around land, agriculture, and stewardship.

After high school, Colt studied agricultural education at North Arkansas College, where he competed in team roping at the intercollegiate level. He later moved to West Texas, working as a horse trainer and farrier before returning home to the Ozarks. In 2017, he founded a landscaping company, Modern Earth, growing it into a successful business before selling it in 2023 to pursue real estate full time. He obtained his license in 2024, gained experience as a land agent, and joined Trophy Properties and Auction in early 2026.

In addition to serving clients, Colt and his family raise Angus cattle, breed performance horses, and train and use horses in their operation. He is passionate about wildlife and land management, actively improving habitat on their property as well as on the neighboring ranch he manages. He values time spent outdoors with his family, whether working cattle, caring for horses, or hunting and fishing with his kids
